Guest Speaker Reactions: Jason Leveille

Excited about your latest web app?  Does it rock?  You should probably be sure that it is secure.

Enter Jason Leveille, web developer extraordinaire who currently works for Blue Atlas Interactive in Germantown, MD.  Jason is a former High School teacher in the same county I teach in who caught the web design bug and took on a web developer position full time.

While his focus was on securing your applications and the type of attacks you can face he also did a great job of explaining security risks that we all face when we enter our information into websites.  His chat was a nice watered down version (teen understandable) of the serious attacks that you should be weary of.  Keeping your information safe is your job, not only the web apps, choose passwords responsibly.  It was apparent from his speech that he is comfortable talking to young people and patient with his explanations.  Overall, very good presentation!
