Guest Speaker Reactions: Paul Boag
We had the fortune to interview Paul Boag, the infamous podcaster of Boagworld and Creative Director of Headscape, on this past Thursday, November 13th, 2008. I emailed Paul in September asking him if he would be willing to chat with us via Skype. He agreed but also mentioned that he would be speaking at Future of Web Design and that if we could make the trip he would love speaking to us then as well. That began the wheels turning and we attended and saw him there. You can read about the event in this article.
We had a 45 min session of Q and A with Paul. The kids got to ask him anything their little hearts desired and then we turned the tables a bit and let Paul ask my students a few questions. After it was over the kids were very enthused and immediately started bubbling with an evaluation of their answers. "Why did he ask me that, I’m not a programmer, I’m a designer, I wish he would have asked me about design" It really was a treat to have someone of his prestige take the time to chat with us.
