Tom Osborne is a Design Director at Viget Labs in northern VA. Tom spoke about an interesting subject; one that we might not normally hear about: flash mobs. In a nutshell, a flash mob is a meeting of a large group in a public place who perform an action and then dispurse. Tom’s presentation focused on how Viget Labs, through Tom’s inspiration, uses the concept to keep their designers fresh. Every couple of months when long stressful projects finally come to an end Viget holds design flash mobs where the design team takes a four hour chunk and little direction and runs with it.
